Overview

palmistry.lol (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a web-based palmistry reading service for entertainment and curiosity. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using palmistry.lol you agree to the practices described below.

Your palm photo

When you upload a palm photo, it is sent to our analysis service over an encrypted connection. The photo is deleted from our servers immediately after the reading is generated — typically within seconds. We never persist palm photos to long-term storage and we never use them to train machine-learning models.

Your reading

The reading text we generate is stored so you can revisit it via the reading's URL. We also store a small hash of palm features (line geometry summaries — not the image itself) so that if you re-upload the same palm we can return a consistent reading rather than a contradictory one. The hash cannot be reversed back into an image. Readings are not indexed by search engines and are only accessible via their unique URL.

IP address

We record your IP address with each reading for abuse prevention and rate-limiting. IPs are stored for 30 days and then automatically deleted. We rely on our legitimate interest in maintaining service reliability to justify this collection, and we do not share IPs with third parties except where required by law.

Cookies and analytics

We use a small number of cookies for two purposes:

• A first-party cookie that remembers your reading history on this device.
• Privacy-respecting analytics cookies that count page views in aggregate. We do not build personal profiles and we do not engage in cross-site behavioral tracking.
• Advertising cookies set by our advertising partner — see the next section.

Advertising

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on editorial pages (blog, FAQ, about). Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. For more information about how Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps, see Google's partner-site policy. If you are in the EU, EEA, UK, or Switzerland, our advertising partner will request your consent for personalized advertising through a consent-management interface before any non-essential cookies are set.

Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers necessary to operate palmistry.lol — the AI vision service that analyzes your palm, our hosting and database providers, and our advertising partner. Each of these is contractually bound to handle data only on our instructions. We may also disclose information if required by law, a valid legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, to object to or restrict its processing, and to data portability. Residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and California specifically have these rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA / CPRA respectively. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@palmistry.lol. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

Children's privacy

palmistry.lol is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. Our upload flow requires confirmation that the user is at least 18. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted information to the site, please contact us at hello@palmistry.lol and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For material changes we will provide additional notice (for example, a banner on the site). Continued use of palmistry.lol after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
